Luton Town have made a new bid worth £7m for Wycombe Wanderers star Richard Kone, according to Sky Sports.

Luton Town are backing new manager Matt Bloomfield in the transfer market as they look to turn around their disastrous campaign to date.

The Hatters are staring down the barrel at consecutive relegations when many had tipped them to fight for promotion this season. A change in management has been made, with Bloomfield taking Rob Edwards’ place after a remarkable season with Wycombe Wanderers to date.

In a bid to replicate his Adams Park success, Bloomfield has been determined to reunite with Chairboys star Richard Kone. Numerous bids have been rejected and it has been reported that Wycombe have insisted he is not for sale.

Now though, a fresh report from Sky Sports claims Luton Town have made yet another improved bid for the 21-year-old despite the message. This time, the offer comes in at £7m, worth £4m up front and £3m in add-ons.

The League One promotion hopefuls are now considering the offer as they fight to hold onto one of their key players and resist the temptation of cashing in before the window slams shut on Monday night.
