Northampton Town are planning an approach for Bromley boss Andy Woodman, according to Football Insider on X.

Northampton Town are in the hunt for a new manager following Jon Brady’s exit last week. Ian Sampson is currently in caretaker charge of the League One side as they weigh up their options and he oversaw their 2-1 win at home to Peterborough United last time out.

Woodman, 53, guided Bromley to promotion to League Two last season from the National League along with Paul Cook’s Chesterfield. They beat Solihull Moors on penalties in the play-off final at Wembley.

The Ravens are currently sat in 14th place in the fourth tier table and have adapted well to life in the Football League over the past few months.

In this latest update regarding the Cobblers’ search for Brady’s replacement, Football Insider claim Woodman is on their radar following his impressive work at Hayes Lane.
