Sheffield United’s Louie Marsh wanted

Marsh would benefit from a loan spell away from Sheffield United for the second-half of the campaign.

The Blades opted to keep him last summer despite attention from Plymouth Argyle, Rotherham United and Wrexham, as per the Daily Mail at the time.

Marsh has been on the books of the Blades for his whole career to date and has risen up through their academy ranks.

He has been a regular for them at various different youth levels over recent times.

He was loaned out to Doncaster Rovers last term to get some experience under his belt and played eight games for the League Two side, chipping in with a single goal.

After signing him for Donny, their boss Grant McCann told their website at the time: “We’re delighted to get Louie. He’s a player we have tracked since I arrived at the club and unfortunately couldn’t get him done earlier for his involvement with Sheffield United’s first team.

“He’s an exciting player that can play in a No.10 role or as a No.9 dropping in. He’s technically excellent, has a real eye for goal having scored more than 20 last term and he’ll bring great competition at the top end of the pitch.”

What now for Huddersfield Town and Stockport County target Louie Marsh?

Sheffield United will weigh up what is best for Marsh between now and the summer.

Huddersfield Town and Stockport County are both eyeing promotion from the third tier and could see him as someone to boost their attacking ranks.
