Walsall midfielder George Hall is a ‘doubt’ for their Carabao Cup clash against Leicester City, as detailed in a report by the Express & Star.

Walsall swooped to land the youngster on loan from Birmingham City in the last transfer window.

Hall, 20, sat out of their League Two away win at Salford City last time out with a back problem. The Saddlers went on to win 2-0 after goals by striker Nathan Lowe and midfielder Charlie Lakin.

In this update regarding his condition, their boss Mat Sadler said late last week, as per the Express & Star: “I don’t believe there is too much to concern us with George. He took a heavy whack on his lower back which then sent everything into a little bit of a spasm.

“He wasn’t out there today but it is settling down quick so fingers crossed that will be quite a quick turnaround. Whether or not he’ll be alright for Saturday, we’ll see, but I don’t think that’s too much of a concern.”
