Wigan Athletic boss Ryan Lowe has said Baba Adeeko will have a ‘scan’ following his recent ankle injury.
Wigan Athletic left the midfielder out of their squad for their clash against Charlton Athletic last time out. WAFC lost 2-1 against the Addicks at The Valley.
Adeeko, 21, has sustained a knock in training and it remains to be seen how long he could potentially be sidelined for. He has risen up through the academy ranks of the Latics.
In this latest update regarding his condition, Lowe has said, as per a report by Wigan Today: “He’d taken a knock in training on Wednesday, an ankle problem, when obviously I wasn’t there, and they thought he might have been okay. I don’t know how long he’ll be out for, we’ll have to speak to the medical staff about that. But we just felt if he wasn’t going to be fit to travel down with us, he may as well stay up there and get some treatment. He’ll go for a scan and we’ll see what the extent is.”
