Wrexham defender Aaron James is wanted by Morecambe and Oldham Athletic, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke on X.

Wrexham have a decision to make on the immediate future of the youngster. James, 19, has made three appearances for the Red Dragons so far this season, all of which have come in the cup.

In this latest update regarding his situation this winter, reporter O’Rourke has claimed on X that Morecambe and Oldham Athletic are interested. Forest Green Rovers have also been mentioned as a potential suitor.

James said last month, as per a report by The Leader: “Getting exposure to men’s football, like in these games, is good but a loan to maybe National League or National League North will be really beneficial for me. I think having that attitude and playing in those games, where you have to ‘die for three points’ is really important in the development of myself and any young player. Going on loan is something I would definitely be open to.”

The teenager added:“Playing at the highest level possible with the first team is definitely the aim for me but we’ll see what happens.”
