Wycombe Wanderers midfielder Matt Butcher is wanted by Shrewsbury Town, Bristol Rovers and Northampton Town, according to a report by Football League World.

Wycombe Wanderers have a decision to make regarding the future of the player ahead of the January transfer window. He has made 20 appearances in all competitions so far this season and has chipped in with two assists.

Butcher, 27, provides competition and depth to their Chairboys’ midfield ranks as they look to gain promotion to the Championship under the guidance of popular boss Matt Bloomfield. They are currently sat top of the table and are a point above Birmingham City in 2nd and two above Wrexham in 3rd.

According to Football League World, fellow League One sides Shrewsbury Town, Bristol Rovers and Northampton Town are all interested in landing him this winter. It remains to be seen at this stage whether any will lodge an official approach.
