Blackburn Rovers youngster Leo Duru is poised to undergo a medical ahead of a proposed loan switch to Barrow, according to a report by the Lancashire Telegraph.

Blackburn Rovers are set to send the prospect to League Two to help him get some experience under his belt. He has been on the books of BRFC since 2015.

Duru, 19, linked up with the Lancashire outfit having previously been at Manchester United. He has since risen up through their academy ranks and has been a regular at various different youth levels over recent times.

In this latest update regarding his immediate future at Ewood Park, the Lancashire Telegraph report he is expected to link up with Barrow now on a temporary basis, despite interest from their fourth tier rivals Carlisle United and some unnamed teams in the MLS.

The Bluebirds are currently sat in 15th place in the table under Stephen Clemence.
