Bradford City have signed Corry Evans following his exit from Sunderland, as announced by their official club website.

Sunderland cut ties with the midfielder at the end of last season. His deal officially expired in late June and he has since been weighing up his options as a free agent.

Evans, 34, has now been snapped up by Bradford City in League Two. He has penned a contract until January at Valley Parade.

He has said, as per their website: “I’m absolutely thrilled to join Bradford City. It’s a massive club with a passionate fanbase, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Their boss Graham Alexander added: “We’re bringing Corry in on a short-term deal to help us with his experience and quality. He’s another option in the midfield that can compliment the personnel we already have in there.”
