Blackburn Rovers winger Tom Bloxham has returned from his loan at Harrogate Town, as announced by the League Two side.

Blackburn Rovers let the youngster link up with the Yorkshire outfit on a temporary basis in the January transfer window.

Bloxham, 18, went on to play five games for Simon Weaver’s men as they ended up finishing in 13th position in the fourth tier table in between Gillingham and Notts County.

Harrogate Town have confirmed on their official club website that the player has now gone back to Ewood Park following their 2-2 draw against Salford City over the weekend.

Blackburn Rovers loan end

Blackburn Rovers gave Bloxham the green light to head out the exit door on loan this past winter to help him get some more experience under his belt.

They have a decision to make on what to do with him ahead of the next campaign.

Rovers need to decide whether to keep hold of him or let him join another club again to continue his development.

Bloxham’s chances of breaking into John Eustace’s first-team are slim next term due to his age and playing regular senior football would be better than playing with the development squad.

Blackburn Rovers signed the Republic of Ireland youth international last June and he penned a two-year deal in Lancashire.

He made his debut against Harrogate Town in the Carabao Cup last August and has since played once more.

Eustace’s side aren’t safe just yet but took a step closer to securing their place in the second tier following their 0-0 draw at home to Coventry City last time out.

Next up for Rovers is an away trip to already promoted Leicester City next weekend as they look to get over the line.
