Harry Chapman rose up through the academy ranks at Middlesbrough before embarking on spells in the Football League with the likes of Blackburn Rovers and Bradford City.
The attacking midfielder was a regular for Boro at various different youth levels as a youngster.
Chapman, 27, penned his first professional contract at the Riverside Stadium in January 2025.
He went on to make four first-team appearances, as well as having loan spells away at Barnsley, Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers to get some experience under his belt.
Blackburn Rovers days
Blackburn Rovers landed Chapman on an initial temporary deal following their relegation to League One.
He went on to play 16 games for the Lancashire outfit and chipped in with one goal as they gained an immediate promotion back to the Championship under Tony Mowbray.
Rovers snapped him up permanently in 2018 but his time at Ewood Park was plagued with injuries in the end.
He made 19 appearances and was shipped out on loan to Shrewsbury Town and Burton Albion in the third tier to get some experience.
Blackburn Rovers then cut ties with the Hartlepool-born man and he subsequently joined Bradford City in League Two in 2022.
Chapman spent two campaigns with the Bantams in the fourth tier and scored three goals in 58 matches.
They opted against extending his stay in late June and he became a free agent.
National League switch
Chapman weighed up his options and ultimately linked up with Barnet in the National League.
He dropped into non-league for the first time and has since scored three goals in 12 league games for the Bees.
Their head coach Dean Brennan said in August: “We identified Harrison over a year ago now, we have been in dialogue for a while, and we are delighted that he has decided to join us.
“He is a type of player that will get our supporters off their seats. He has speed, dribbling ability and plenty of quality, I know his character will fit straight into our group.”
Chapman has been enjoying plenty of game time with Barnet which is what he will have wanted.
They are currently sat in 3rd place in the table behind York City and Forest Green Rovers as they look to get promoted.
The Bees are joined in the play-offs by Gateshead, Oldham Athletic, Rochdale and FC Halifax Town and beat Woking 2-0 over the weekend.
