Brentford and Leicester City have both shown an interest in Troyes youngster Cyriaque Irié and could provide competition to Lens for the 19-year-old.

That's according to Foot Mercato, who report that while the French side have been 'seduced' by the youngster, they may have to move ahead of Brentford and Leicester to get him.

The website reports that Irié, a left winger who can also play on the right, is seen as a player who has 'immense room for improvement' by his suitors.

Lens are keen on him as they look to strengthen this summer, but they will have to fight for his signature with the likes of Brentford and Leicester. They, alongside the likes of RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, have already made inquiries about the youngster. Bologna and AC Milan have also shown an interest in him.

Irié is currently valued at around €6m so all of those clubs could easily afford to move for him should they wish to do so.

Lens could take a step ahead of them, though, as they're finalising Abdukodir Khusanov's sale to Manchester City and have the funds to make their move now. They can also devote themselves 100% on the matter.

That may give them an advantage over the likes of Brentford and Leicester, who are in the mix for the youngster but not stepping that up for now.
