The action over Christmas makes it interesting to follow our loan foxes and ex players. Tom Cannon scored the only goal as his Stoke defeated Sunderland in a 1-0 win at home. Cannon is on 9 goals so far, as The Potters stumbles as they are in search of a new manager as well as trying to climb the table. Viktor Johansson was as always in goal for Stoke.
Harry Souttar has had his loan stay at Sheffield United ended, being hit with a nightmare injury, seeing him most certainly out of action for a year. The Australian international has been important for The Blades as well as the national team.
Lewis Brunt and Matty James were both in the starting line-up for Wrexham when they defeated 2-1 at home, scoring a late winner in stoppage time. Silko Thomas, coming on in the 67th minute, made the assist on the Wigan equalizer in the 79th minute. Wrexham are flying high and 2nd at this point in League One, just 1 point behind leaders Birmingham, having Chris Davies in charge as well as Ben Petty as his assistant. Birmingham drew 0-0 at home to Blackpool in their latest outing, Oliver Norburn an unused sub for The Seasiders.
Chris Wood was again vital for Forest, scoring and assisting in the 2-0 away win vs. Everton. Forest are now in second place in the table, so it shows how everything can click and turn out if doing things correctly. Michael Keane was an unused sub for The Toffees.
Jeffrey Schlupp was an unused sub for Crystal Palace in their strong 2-1 home win vs. Southampton. TimothyCastagne and Calvin Bassey both played the full game for Fulham in their 2-2 home draw vs. Bournemouth.
Manchester City will have January interest in James McAtee, with Nottingham Forest, West Ham and Brentford, plus Bayer Leverkusen and Fiorentina all keen on the midfielder.

Kasper Schmeichel kept a clean sheet in Celtic’s 4-0 home win vs. St. Johnstone. Brendan Rodgers is clearly doing a good job at the moment, cruising in the league. They are clearly dominant being on 50 points, Rangers on 36, 14 points behind.
