For the first time visiting Seagrave for a u.21 game, watching live from the stands. Leicesrer played Middlesbrough, fielding a young team without Will Alves and Michael Golding.

Middlesbrough took an early lead, as they were rewarded a penalty which was nicely converted.

Leicester kept their calm and just carried on playing with good discipline, as they pushed Middlesbrough back with Cartwright and Ewing running the midfield with good command.

No surprise then to see Joshua King scoring with a nice shot from distance. Leicester were even after 21 minutes. Joshua King continued to be a treath and when he in the 40th minute snapped the ball and scored, Leicester took a deserved lead.

Early second half Middlesbrough were reduced to 10 men and in real had been struggling in the minutes prior to the sending off.

Despite being one man more it took a while to get the 3-1 goal, coming in the 75th minute from a Oliver Ewing shot hitting a ‘Boro defender and finding it’s way into the goal.

During the second half Leicester could have scored more, Logan Briggs being the treath as he should and could have shown more quality in front of goal.
