Leicester City are in Italy trying to secure a deal for AC Milan's Strahinja Pavlovic before the transfer window closes.

That's according to Calciomercato, who report that the Serbian is very much a transfer candidate at this moment in time.

The defender arrived from RB Salzburg for €18m last summer but has not managed to find his place in Milan as yet. They're ready to move him on and several possibilities are on the table.

Leicester are one of them and 'currently in Milan'. They could satisfy Milan's desire to make €20-25m for the player if he is to leave on a permanent transfer.

In addition to Leicester, Atalanta and Stuttgart are also in the mix. They've both been in contact with the defender's entourage about a potential move.

Milan are currently waiting to see if any of those three sides make a move before the transfer window closes shut.

They are planning for an exit, though, with Chelsea's Axel Disasi being eyed as a replacement for him. Contacts with Chelsea are underway on that front.

It all depends on Pavlovic departing. That's a distinct possibility and Leicester are very much in the mix, with their presence in Milan certainly seen as a positive.
