Leicester is back in action on Saturday, in their early kick off fixture vs. Chelsea. Enzo Maresca makes his first visit to the King Power since leaving the club in the summer. So far we could say both Leicester and Chelsea are performing on level of expectations, Chelsea possibly a bit above.
We do believe Leicester will be happy with a draw, a win would be a surprise and massive bonus, and of course being defeated would set the goal of survival on hold with a difficult situation even more difficult.
Steve Cooper has come under a bit of critisism, but to compete in Premier League is a difficult act, and still Leicester are above the relegation zone and hopefully will fight hard to avoid a drop into it.
Chelsea are 3rd in the table with 5 wins, 4 draws and only 2 defeats so far, having picked up 19 points. Leicester are in place 15, 2 wins, 4 draws and 5 defeats, so of course The Blues are the favourites, but still a draw could be in reach, as that is the best we believe will happen.
Leicester do have as many as 7 players on the sideline, with potentially Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka in reach of being cleared for action on Saturday, both back in training. A massive blow for Steve Cooper is the fact that Leicester will be without Abdul Fatawu for the rest of the season. Other players on the injury list is Jacub Stolarczyk, Ricardo Pereira, Jordan Ayew, Bobby De Cordova-Reid. None of the last 4 mentioned will be in the squad for Chelsea.

Kit:
Chelsea are in a long-term partnership with Nike and that means the iconic Swoosh logo will once again adorn the Blues’ jerseys for the 2024-25 season. Last year saw some sponsorship changes and there will be further tweaks ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign, with initial releases containing no sponsor.
The latest Chelsea home shirt has a bold new design, with a vibrant blue base which exemplifies the hottest part of the flame and as the club statement reads – “the burning passion to unite the entire club behind a shared ambition to succeed on and off the pitch.” There are a few orange accents around the club crest and brand logo, besides the white and orange strips at the border of the sleeves.
Nike has adopted a 4D data-driven design, and the kits are made with Dri-FIT ADV technology. The kit has been released without a front-of-shirt sponsor for the second year in a row, as the Blues look for a replacement for Infinite Athlete after their single-season deal expired.
Chelsea will be donning a light gold or ‘guava ice’ jersey on the road in 2024-25, with blood-orange and blue serving as the complementing colourway as the ‘blue flame’ motif continues. It was officially released on July 29 and earlier social media leaks were confirmed.
The orange tinge which features on the home kit will also feature in the away jersey, with the club crest being predominantly orange, set on a blue background – which is an obvious throwback to the era of the late 1980s into the early 1990s, when the iconic lion in the Blues’ badge was always a deep red.
Arch-enemy: Arsenal
Honours: Chelsea is a grand collector of trophies and since the start of this century been among the top clubs in winning big titles, they were also a great team during the 60's and early 70's.

Did You Know? Chelsea are known as The Blues, because of the colour of their home kit (obviously). But from 1692 until the mid 1950s, all army pensioners were paid from the Royal Hospital in Chelsea and the war veterans were nicknamed Chelsea Pensioners. The club has set aside a number of seats for them to enjoy the home matches! They were depicted on the team's crest until the early 1950s, then opted for a simple 'CFC' before a lion formed the main part of their badge in 1953.
