Leicester are in no way alone in the chase of Thomas Kristiansen from Udinese. He is a major target for a number of clubs, one of them said to be Tottenham. Earlier we have described Caleb Okoli as a player to transfer out and today talk are that he is a close target for Parma. He has not been used much by Ruud van Nistelrooy. Okoli could free up a place in the squad as well bring in a substantial fee.

Caleb Okoli had a good season with Frosinone prior to joining Leicester. He has also been included in the Italian squad for a number of games this season, without making his full international debut yet. He has a proven record at Serie A level, he is young, but still not a player Leicester looks to need at this point.

We have seen Leicester linked with central defenders, but it will make no sense to bring in a player that would struggle to win a regular place in the team, and as we know, with three full internationals, Conor Coady, Jannik Vestergaard and Wout Faes allready at the club, to just sign a cover again, would be a foolish act. Would rather see a player drafted in on a short term deal, on a free, just to be that cover if any of the other three are out.

This is the rubbish that Ruud van Nistelrooy has to sort, balancing his squad with players you need and also having the good eye on contract lengths as well as understanding how to rate quality. To listen to the talk regarding Jannik Vestergaard, you feel almost sick, as his qualities are talked down, always blaming the man for his pace as the reason for him not being used. Clearly these people have little or no knowledge of football as the key on using Vestergaard to his best strengths is to have the correct player alongside, and that should either be Wout Faes or Conor Coady. He has been up against the best forwards in the world and silent them all while on duty for Denmark, then in company with Joakim Andersen, Thomas Christensen or Simon Kjaer playing as a man for Barcelona or Real Madrid to chase, so that is how good Jannik Vestergaard is, as his distribution of the ball from the back, is up there with the best there is, but sadly having Facundo Bounanotte on the bench does not give the team enough passing quality to use this as a special advantage.

Ruud van Nistelrooy looks to have some sort of path to follow and it makes sense to let Caleb Okoli leave. Hamza Choudhury and Patson Daka are other players that could be seen potential departures if the price is correct and the players themselves do agree to a move.

Daniel Iversen is also listed as a potential departure at this point, but we will not see him leave before Mads Hermansen is back fully fit.

A number of new players linked, never miss out our list of hot, coold and cold.
