It is looking like Kevin Danso (26), who spent some of his formative years in England, could be set for a return to the Premier League.

The Austria international has been highly consistent for RC Lens over the past two seasons and almost secured a move away from the club over the summer. Everything was signed for him to join AS Roma, however, he failed his medical, with the Serie A side citing a cardiac issue. That ‘issue’ was investigated and no anomaly was found. He has since resumed his playing career.

He could, however, be on the move in January. Lens are needing to raise funds and are therefore open to a sale, amid significant Premier League interest. As reported by Sky Sports, Wolverhampton Wanderers have identified Danso as a priority target, whilst according to L’Équipe, Southampton, a club with which he spent a season on loan (2019-20), are also interested.

Mohamed Toubache-Ter has added a new name to the list: Everton. The Merseyside club are in the market for defensive reinforcements and have identified Danso as a target.
