Marcus Thuram (26) has been provided reassuring news after suffering a hamstring injury during France's quarter-final victory over Portugal. The forward looked to be a doubt for the semi-final set to take place on Tuesday against Spain.

However, according to a report provided by L'Équipe, Thuram underwent a medical examination on Saturday which has provided a positive update and revealed that the forward should be available for selection.

There is still some question over whether Didier Deschamps will select the Inter Milan striker for the game against Spain. Thuram had started in two of the group games as well as the Round of 16 tie against Belgium, but he was dropped to the bench against Portugal with Randal Kolo Muani (25) starting in his place.

A French player is yet to score from open play at this tournament, and Deschamps is evidently attempting to experiment and figure out a way to get his forward line to finally find the net.
