Whilst Marseille have already secured their first signing of the winter transfer window in Luiz Felipe, Les Olympiens are now looking to move on some of the younger members of the squad, notably those that are currently playing regularly in the reserve side, but are yet to taste first team acton in Roberto De Zerbi’s side.
One such young player is Roggero Nyakossi (21), who is set to leave the club according to a report from Foot Mercato. After two and half years at the club, the Swiss defender will likely be sold for a transfer fee of €1m with two Belgian clubs and one Swiss club vying for the defender’s signature. Nyakossi has played regularly in OM’s reserve side this season, and was used as an unused substitue on the bench for the senior side against Le Havre earlier this month.
Jupiler Pro League side Louvain have made the most progress to sign the player and are the closest currently to sign the Swiss defender. As with the potential departure of fellow young player Enzo Sternel (17), OM will be looking to insert a buy-back clause for Nyakossi.
