Only one year after his arrival, Jessy Deminguet (26) is set to leave RC Strasbourg this summer, and his future seems to lie in Ligue 2, as a duel takes place between both relegated sides FC Metz and FC Lorient.

Arriving on a free transfer from Caen, his formative club, in which he spent six seasons, Deminguet failed to live up to expectations with Strasbourg. Last season, the midfielder only took part in 21 games across all competitions, and is already looking for a new challenge ahead of next season, where he will be able to prove his worth and have more important game time.

According to Foot Mercato, Deminguet has a lot of suitors queuing up, and could be tempted by a first experience abroad as multiple unnamed Turkish clubs are circling the water for him. However, with 106 games in Ligue 2 in his career, the midfielder could bring his valuable experience to help one of the recent relegated teams to be back in the top flight. The French outlet reveals that both FC Metz and Lorient have already started negotiations with Deminguet. It remains to be seen which project will be more attractive to the French midfielder.
