Shakhtar Donetsk are in desperate need of a win if they are to keep their slender chances of qualification to the next stage of the UEFA Champions League alive. A defeat will see the Ukrainian side’s exit from the competition confirmed on Wednesday night.

However, they come up against a Stade Brestois side with their own ambitions. Currently ninth but level on points with Arsenal in fifth, Brest are looking to bolster their chances of a top-eight finish with two games remaining in the ‘League Phase’.

Shakhtar Donetsk don’t have any injury concerns for the game. Pedro Henrique is the only absentee for the Ukrainian side. He misses this match through suspension. As expected, Georgiy Sudakov, the beating heart of this Shakhtar side, is expected to start in the midfield.
