According to a report by L'Équipe, Sorba Thomas (25) is set to join FC Nantes from Huddersfield Town on a loan deal.

Thomas has had an impressive climb up the English footballing pyramid since he was released from the West Ham academy in 2016. The forward who has played the majority of his career as a right-winger then joined non-league side Boreham Wood where he was eventually picked up by Huddersfield in 2021.

This was also the year that he became an international when he was selected by Wales by Rob Page for their World Cup qualifying game against Czechia. He even managed to come onto the pitch for the closing minutes of Wales’s 2022 World Cup opener against the United States.

Thomas was a frequent pick for Huddersfield last season scoring four and assisting nine in 41 appearances as the club succumbed to relegation from the Championship into League One. A move to Nantes will mean that after a long journey from non-league, Thomas will finally experience the top flight.
