'Absolute mess': Reds dismantled in Carabao Cup final - Liverpool player ratings vs Newcastle

Liverpool have just beaten 2-1 by Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.
Arne Slot’s hopes of winning his first trophy with Liverpool came crashing down at Wembley, as his side were deservedly beaten.
The Reds were far from their best all afternoon, with Dan Burn heading home the opener, before Liverpool-linked Alexander Isak finished proceedings in the second-half.
Federico Chiesa would grab a consolation late on, but Liverpool’s players were simply not good enough on the day – Rousing The Kop has rated their performances below.
Caoimhin Kelleher – 6
Kelleher couldn’t do much with either of the Newcastle goals. His kicking was poor though.
Jarrel Quansah – 5
Liverpool missed Trent dearly today. Quansah was good defensively but failed to provide any sort of impact going forward.
Ibrahima Konate – 4
Arguably one of Konate’s worst performances in a Liverpool shirt. Very, very tough afternoon for the Frenchman.
Virgil van Dijk – 5
An usually unreliable display from Van Dijk, his marking for Newcastle’s opener was odd to say the least.
Andy Robertson – 5
Like virtually all of the Liverpool defence, Robertson was far from his best and would be out jumped by Murphy for Isak’s goal.
Ryan Gravenberch – 4
The Dutchman looked miles off the best in the first half, struggling to deal with the likes of Bruno Guimareas and Joelinton.
Alexis Mac Allister – 4
Really poor from the Argentine. He seemed flustered by the Newcastle midfield and failed to control possession for Liverpool.
Dominik Szoboszlai – 4
To say that Szoboszlai was absent at Wembley would be an understatement. Very surprising he stayed on as long as he did.
Mohamed Salah – 5
Failed to make any sort of impact. Really struggled without having the creativity of Trent alongside him.
Diogo Jota – 4
Jota’s recent struggles continued as he caused the Newcastle backline no problems at all. Very poor.
Luis Diaz – 5
The Columbian was kept quiet by Trippier all afternoon. Was rightfully replaced by Elliott.
