'Best for everyone': £42m player now suggests he may move this summer after being tipped to join Liverpool

Liverpool’s forward line is one area of the pitch that looks set for change this summer.
Darwin Nunez has been linked with an exit, while fellow South American Luis Diaz is attracting interest from Barcelona.
With this in mind, it seems like the Reds have already started planning for the future, with Feyenoord’s Igor Paixao potentially tipped to replace Nunez and co.
Liverpool have already scouted Paixao this season, with the Brazilian’s 26 goal contributions catching the eye of the Reds staff.
Former Feyenoord boss Rob Jacobs has even urged Liverpool to sign Paixao for £42m, claiming he is ‘better’ than current Reds forward Cody Gakpo.
Amid all the transfer speculation, the South American forward has since commented on his future in Holland, providing a small hint as to where he will be come August.

Igor Paixao comments on future amid Liverpool links
Having previously been coached by Arne Slot, it seems like the Brazilian could soon link back up with his former boss at Anfield.
After being questioned on whether he will still be at Feyenoord next season, Paixao told NOS Sport:
“I will do my best at Feyenoord until the end of the season. If I stay, that’s fine. And if I leave, that will be the result of my game here,” Paixao said.
“In any case, I want to leave something beautiful here. Moreover, I still have a contract until 2029. I will then focus on Feyenoord. It is up to the Feyenoord board and my agents to determine what is best for everyone.”
Liverpool will face Serie A competition for Paixao
If Liverpool are to secure the signing of Paixao this summer, they may have to act quickly.
That is because clubs in Italy are also interested in the Brazilian’s services, with AS Roma reportedly eying him up as a possible Paulo Dybala replacement (according to Gazzetta dello Sport).

Paixao’s previous links with Slot could give Liverpool the upper hand in the race to secure his signature, whether FSG takes advantage of that though is another question entirely.
