'Cause them problems': Chris Sutton predicts the score when Liverpool play Brighton tomorrow
Today at 11:00 AM
Liverpool are back in Premier League action on Saturday as they host Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Reds clashed with the Seagulls in the Carabao Cup midweek, winning an open game 3-2.
Saturday’s game is likely to follow a similar pattern, although the teams fielded by both Liverpool and their opponents are set to be wildly different.
Arne Slot heavily rotated his Liverpool squad for the trip to the South Coast, making eight changes in total to his starting XI.
Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler also brought in eight different players and it’s expected that both sides will be returned to full strength at Anfield.
With Brighton in decent form and sitting sixth in the Premier League, pundit Chris Sutton has predicted whether the Seagulls will get their revenge for Wednesday’s beating.

As far as Anfield records go, Brighton’s is not terrible. In their past four trips to Liverpool’s home they have only lost once, drawing twice and winning the other.
At various points over the last few years the Seagulls have seemed to have the Reds’ number.
Nevertheless, Slot will feel he laid down a bit of a marker with Wednesday’s win and will hope to emulate it on home turf.
Writing his weekend predictions for BBC Sport, Sutton has backed Liverpool to do just that, even winning by a bigger margin.

“It has not been a great week for Brighton, who threw victory away against Wolves last weekend, conceding a 93rd minute equaliser, then lost at home to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup in midweek,” he says.
“Going to Anfield will be even harder for them. Liverpool dropped points against Arsenal in their last league game, but I can't see that happening here.
“Brighton will cause them problems but they can’t afford to slip up, and they won’t.”

Liverpool have one or two injury problems heading into Saturday’s match.
The Reds will still be without all four of Federico Chiesa, Diogo Jota, Alisson Becker and Harvey Elliott.
Having made eight changes to his team in midweek, we’d expect that Slot will make a similar amount at the weekend.

Kostas Tsimikas seems likely to come in for Andy Robertson, while the rest of the backline will probably be changed, too.
Meanwhile Alexis Mac Allister is set to line-up against his old side and Ryan Gravenberch will be yet another change in the midfield.
