Things are going for Liverpool on the pitch as they continue to rack up wins under Arne Slot.

The Reds lead the way in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League and have won 22 of their 27 games under the Dutchman, representing one of the best-ever starts to a new season.

However, off the pitch, the futures of Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold are up in the air, with their current deals set to expire at the end of the season.

And Don Hutchison has shared what he’s heard about the Liverpool trio as their contracts wind down.

Van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold and Salah have been offered new deals by Liverpool, but with time running out, the trio are yet to respond to it.

Alexander-Arnold is wanted by Real Madrid and there have been suggestions that his contract will be the hardest to renew, given his age and skill set.

Van Dijk and Salah, on the other hand, have signaled their desire to stay at the club, making their discussions with the club a lot more straightforward.

Hutchison believes Van Dijk and Salah are more likely to stay at Liverpool than Alexander-Arnold as he shared what he heard about the situation.

"I don't know for certain but from what I hear, Van Dijk and Salah are more likely to get done than Alexander-Arnold,” said Hutchison on ESPN UK.

Liverpool must keep trio at Anfield

Slot’s project might only be a few months old, but the Dutchman has already proved to be an inspired choice by the Anfield hierarchy as he aims to build on Jurgen Klopp’s dynasty.

Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold have all quickly proved their worth to the new manager, so losing even one of them could be a catastrophic blow to his project.

The trio will be free to talk to potential suitors after the turn of the year, so Liverpool need to step on the peddle and sort out their contracts at the earliest.
