Liverpool will soon be given the chance to bolster their squad in mid-season as the January transfer window rolls around.

The Reds have made an almost perfect start to the campaign, winning 15 out of 17 games so far.

Despite shooting out of the blocks, though, there is still a nagging feeling that Liverpool just did not do enough business over the summer.

As a result, many supporters will be hoping that the Reds will have one or two irons in the fire for the winter market.

One player who has been heavily linked with Liverpool is Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush.

Marmoush has had a terrific season so far, scoring 14 goals and laying on 10 assists. And while no doubt aware of the whisperings about Liverpool, Eintracht have now tagged the Reds into a post about their Egyptian forward on social media.

Eintracht Frankfurt make Omar Marmoush post

Marmoush is certainly a player to watch in 2025. Liverpool may be looking for a new centre-forward and the 25-year-old would tick a lot of boxes.

There have also been claims that Marmoush would love to join the Reds and play alongside Egypt teammate Mohamed Salah.

Salah became the first player in Europe’s top five leagues to hit double figures for both goals and assists when he registered one of each against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Marmoush duly matched his compatriot on Sunday, taking his own tally to 14 and 10 respectively.

And it’s this feat which garnered the attention of Eintracht Frankfurt’s social media team, who responded to a post hailing both players.

Tagging in the official LFC account, they posted “Things we love to see,” with a nod to the Reds.

Adding in a handshake emoji and an Egyptian flag between Salah and Marmoush, this is sure to get Liverpool supporters excited about the prospect of these two linking up in red.

James Pearce denies Liverpool contact with Omar Marmoush

Despite all of the excitement over Liverpool potentially bringing in one of Europe’s most in-form attackers, it seems that some caution should be applied.

Responding to suggestions that Liverpool have made contact with Marmoush over a move, journalist James Pearce denied these claims on Thursday.

Pearce says he’s been told there is no contact with Marmoush from the Reds and suggested that Arne Slot is happy with his current forward options.

Should Salah – or any other forward – leave in the summer, it seems possible that Liverpool would then have to dip into the market.

But until then, it seems as though these tantalising kinds of posts are not worth getting too hyped up about.
