Liverpool extended their winning run to four in all competitions after an impressive 2-0 victory against Aston Villa.
Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah were both on the scoresheet as the Reds made it look easy against Villa at Anfield, with Ibrahima Konate looking 'revitalised' in the Liverpool defence as Arne Slot’s side kept yet another clean sheet.
With Manchester City losing earlier today, the result puts Liverpool five points clear at the top of the Premier League heading into the international break, where the Merseyside giants look like strong favourites to win the title.
And Alexis Mac Allister has now said Liverpool have a legend in their squad.
Mohamed Salah lauded after Man of the Match display vs Villa
Speaking to TNT Sports after the result, the Argentine international was full of praise for Salah after the winger’s Man of the Match display against Villa, with the Egyptian assisting Nunez’s opener before scoring one of his own.
With Liverpool fans sending a message to FSG over Salah’s contract, the 32-year-old winger showed why he’s one of the best attackers on the planet with another world-class performance for the Reds.

And for Mac Allister, Salah is now a Liverpool legend with the winger adding even more goals and assists to his overall tally for the Reds, with the attacker making more history with the Anfield side after tonight.
Mac Allister said: “He’s so good and so important for this team. Not just for the team but for the club as well, he’s a legend here, so I’m happy for him, and when you have him, you know he’s going to deliver and get the numbers, we’re happy for him.”
Mac Allister is right to label Salah as a Liverpool legend
Salah has been nothing short of exceptional for Liverpool since joining in 2017, with the former AS Roma star playing a key role in the Reds becoming one of the best teams in the world and winning virtually everything there is to win.
And under Slot, Salah is again showing why he is an unstoppable force, with Mac Allister right to label the Egyptian international as a legend for the Reds after yet another top performance at Anfield.
Should Salah leave Liverpool next summer, Slot will find it impossible to replace the former Chelsea man, with the 32-year-old still at the top of his game and a player who could takes years to find a true successor for.
