'I'm being told': £34m player is on much better terms with Liverpool now that Slot is head coach - journalist

Life has been extremely good for Liverpool supporters over recent months.
After going through the pain of losing Jurgen Klopp, there had been concerns that the Reds could face a major drop-off.
In reality, the polar opposite has happened. Arne Slot has hit the ground running to record the most successful start for a new manager in Liverpool history.
Unsurprisingly, Mohamed Salah has been absolutely key to that brilliant beginning for Slot.
The Egyptian has already hit 10 goals and 10 assists across all competitions for Liverpool and looks as lethal as ever.
Salah’s contract at Anfield is of course set to end once the season finishes. But according to journalist Graeme Bailey, Slot’s performance as Liverpool head coach has made the prospect of a new deal more likely than it once was.
Mohamed Salah on better terms with Liverpool
Season after season Salah continues to belie suggestions that he is set to slow down.
The 32-year-old is still quite clearly Liverpool’s most consistent source of goals despite his advancing years.
Nevertheless, it has felt for a little while now that the end of his current contract would be the end of Salah at Liverpool.
Speaking exclusively to Rousing The Kop, though, Bailey says that Slot’s arrival to replace Klopp has breathed new life into Salah’s relationship with the club.

“What I’m being told is that whatever happens with Salah, Liverpool won’t be caught off guard,” says the journalist.
“Liverpool are on a lot better terms with Salah and his people than they were six months ago, mainly because of how happy he is under Slot. They’ll be made aware of what’s going on and they won’t be caught off guard when it comes to his future.
“Salah’s been very impressed by the way Slot is getting the best out of this whole Liverpool team,” Bailey adds. “If he does stay it will be in no small part down to what Arne Slot’s doing. He’s really given him something to think about.”
Salah’s agent clears up confusion
Whether Salah signs on to stay at Liverpool really does feel to be in the balance right now.
Slot confirmed he will be involved in new contracts recently, which, given the importance of the three players in question, should probably be seen as a positive.
In terms of Salah, there is always some chatter going on in the media. This week. Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa has cleared up confusion over some social media posts he made regarding the Reds’ No.11
Issa has been keen to stress that whatever talks are being had between Salah and Liverpool, they will not be played out in public.
Behind closed doors, Mo’s relationship with the club he holds such iconic status at is seemingly at an all-time high, though, so let’s hope we soon hear some good news on this topic.
