Arne Slot continued his dream start as Liverpool manager with a battling 3-2 victory against Southampton on Sunday.
Slot acknowledged the Liverpool fans after the win at St Mary’s, where Mohamed Salah scored twice and Dominik Szoboszlai was also on target.
Steve McManaman says Liverpool were "average" against Southampton, but the win leaves them eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
Defending champions Man City are their nearest competitors in second, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Brighton all one point further back.
The busy fixtures now continue for Slot and Liverpool, who welcome Real Madrid and Man City to Anfield this week.
What Arne Slot has told Liverpool players about Real Madrid and Man City
Spanish giants Real Madrid are on Merseyside on Wednesday for a Champions League tie, with the Reds then taking on City in Premier League action on Sunday.
And Slot is certainly excited for both games, saying on BBC Match of the Day 2: "You have to keep winning because if you don’t, the other ones will, that’s what we try to do every game. And now it's Real Madrid and next Sunday it's City."

And when asked by the reporter if that's why he's at Liverpool, Slot replied: "Yeah, I just said to the players I think these two teams dominated European football in the last four or five years, so you couldn’t wish for more than to play these two games in the upcoming week, at home."
What are Liverpool's statistics under Arne Slot?
Slot has simply blown away Liverpool fans, who definitely were not expecting to see such success so quickly.
