Liverpool head into Saturday’s Premier League game against Wolves with the wind in their sails after a fantastic few days.

A 3-0 victory against AFC Bournemouth on the weekend was followed by Arne Slot’s biggest win yet as Liverpool manager with a 5-0 win against West Ham in the League Cup, with Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo scoring braces.

With Curtis Jones saying he’s playing with a smile on his face again, the mood around Anfield is as good as it has been in some time, with Liverpool top of the Premier League and looking good to reclaim the League Cup once again.

And Gary Neville and Roy Keane have now given their predictions for this weekend’s Liverpool tie away to Wolves.

Liverpool tipped to beat Wolves at Molineux

Speaking on Stick to Football, the former Manchester United duo both predicted Liverpool to beat Wolves, with Neville saying: “I am going to go 2-1 Liverpool. I think it will be 1-1 and Liverpool score a late winner,” as Keane added: “3-1 Liverpool.”

With Liverpool winning their last three games against Wolves with the Reds only losing once to Gary O’Neil’s side in the last 13 encounters, there’s a good reason why the Merseyside giants are heavy favourites heading to the Black Country this weekend.

Indeed, another win would further solidify Liverpool’s standing as potential title challengers with Slot’s side already top of the Premier League, with Arsenal facing Leicester City as Manchester City travel away to Newcastle United.

And for Liverpool to add another three points to the board will be huge for the Reds in their quest to make a statement this season, where confidence will be high in coming away from Wolves with all three points.

Slot could have a selection headache with Gakpo and Jota

Although the Liverpool starting XI will largely pick itself based on Slot’s decisions this season, the Dutch coach could have a headache of sorts when it comes to Gakpo and Jota.

As noted by Jamie Carragher in regards to Liverpool’s squad depth, the Reds have an unbelievable amount of options when it comes to who could play in the attack in any given fixture.

And with Gakpo and Jota on fire against West Ham, there’s a real chance that Slot could decide to play one or the other alongside Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah against Wolves to keep the form up.
