Kaide Gordon Recalled From Norwich, Calvin Ramsay Sent To Kilmarnock

Both of the Liverpool Academy players have struggled to find minutes while on loan the first half of the season.
Two young Liverpool players are set for a change of scenery this winter. Both Kaide Gordon and Calvin Ramsay have seen loan stints cut short after less than successful first halves.
Kaide Gordon has just been recalled from Norwich after only featuring 10 times for the Championship side. Only one of those appearances was a start, with the other nine being as a substitute. The 20 year old winger had one goal over 177 minutes played. Gordon has been waylaid by injuries the last couple of seasons, and is looking to make an impact at the senior level. He will likely be sent out on another loan in the second half of the season rather than staying with the Liverpool U21s.
Right back Calvin Ramsay also struggled to find the field while on loan in the first half of the season. The 21 year old featured 11 times for League One's Wigan Athletic, earning just three league starts. The Scotsman will be heading back home to joint Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership for the second half of the season. Like Gordon, a bevy of injuries over the last couple of years has hampered Ramsay's development. He previously had loans with Preston North End and Bolton that did not amount to much time on the pitch.
Hopefully both of the young players will be able to stay fit and fight for senior team minutes while on loan. Gordon seems the more likely of the two to make his way back into the fold for future consideration for Liverpool, but he'll need to see the pitch to do so.
