Liverpool are exploring various options to sign William Pacho from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer and could even send him back to the German club on loan.

That's according to BILD and Fussball Transfers, with the latter saying Frankfurt have already eyed up a potential replacement.

The newspaper reports that Liverpool are considering sealing a deal for the defender this summer but loaning him back to the Bundesliga side for another year.

That would allow them to leave Pacho developing away from the pressures of the Premier League but ensure he is there for the future and not at risk of being snapped up by competition or becoming more expensive in a year's time.

Frankfurt are open to a deal, according to FT, so long as their €60m asking price is matched, and they've already eyed up a replacement.

Stade Brest defender Lilian Brassier has been identified as a man who could replace Pacho should he depart this summer.

They're yet to make any serious move for him at this point, it seems, but the fact Brassier is being looked at suggests Eintracht are preparing for a possible departure for Pacho.

It all obviously depends on Liverpool, who also seem to be weighing up their options, and even the possibility of loaning Pacho back, perhaps as a way in which to make themselves the preferred bidder.
