The Reds will be adding two new faces to Arne Slot's team.

If one were able to focus on anything other than the David Coote fiasco and the embarrassing deflection of blame subsequently coming out of the refereeing and pundit class, especially right now, in the early stages of yet another international break, there are any number of interesting storylines around Liverpool one could spend time on instead.

There's the incredible start to the season, for one, with 15 wins in 17 games across all competitions, sitting atop both the Premier League and Champions League table with nearly a third of the season gone.

There's the outstanding form of Mohamed Salah, and the outstanding matter of his contract situation, with the Egyptian's deal set to run out at the end of the current campaign.

And there is, of course, a January transfer window coming up, with the Reds potentially looking to improve their squad further, now that the new manager has a better idea of what players could take his squad to the next level as they look set to perhaps make a surprise run in a number of competitions.

We have no news on any of those fronts today, unfortunately, but we can tell you the Reds are hiring more backroom staff. Physiotherapist David Breen, who has a past from both Manchester City and the Rugby Union has joined the club as a first team rehabilitation physio today, while Feyenoord's first-team analyst Roderick Van der Ham looks set to follow his manager in the coming days.

Said the Dutchman: "Last week, my time at Feyenoord officially came to an end," he said. "A huge thank you to all my colleagues and players for the memories we made together at this fantastic club!

"With hopes of creating even more unforgettable memories, it's time to move on!"

Hopefully, the two new faces will contribute to the kinds of long-term marginal gains that could mean the difference between trophies or no trophies for the Reds.
