Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-1 on the weekend but with away dates at RB Leipzig and Arsenal up next things don't get any easier.

As October nears its end, Liverpool sit top of the Premier League table with eight games players. They've passed their first test in the League Cup. And in Europe they have two wins in the Champions League with their third European match Wednesday at RB Leipzig.

In short, things are going about as well as they could. And with that, the hype and the expectations surrounding this Liverpool group have begun to build. Goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, though, says that he and his teammates aren't going to get ahead of themselves.

"I think that's more the outside noise of what's going to happen," he said ahead as the player's prepared to head to Germany for their European tie against Leipzig, currently level in first in the Bundesliga. "I think the manager is right, it's probably early days for us.

"It's not too many games into the league and there's some tough games for us to come as well. It's obviously going in the right direction and hopefully we can continue. It's a tough run of games, but hopefully we can keep everyone fit and get some good results."

With Chelsea this past Sunday, a game Liverpool won 2-1, then the trip to Leipzig and an away at Arsenal this Sunday, on paper this looks one of the toughest weeks of the season for the Reds—though with two games a week now, there won't be many easy ones.

"We can play nice football and that's important," Kelleher added. "But when you come into these games where the quality is so high it's going to be tight. You need to dig in, need to challenge, need to defend. Because at the end of the day defending wins games."
