When it comes to Liverpool replacing Mohamed Salah, it’s going to be one of the most difficult things the club has had to do in recent years.

Salah’s goals, assists, work-rate and general player have made him a Liverpool legend.

But with no new deal agreed and interest in Salah from Saudi Arabia again, there’s a very realistic possibility that Salah is in his last season as a Liverpool player.

Of course, FSG will have their eyes on potential players the Reds can sign to try and replace Salah.

Names will be thrown around in the media as well and the reality is that until the club acts, we’ll never know just who they want as Salah’s successor.

However, one man who could well be that man and is right under Liverpool’s noses is Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo.

Liverpool are known to be keen on Mbeumo and after his electric start to the season, the Bees ace has now had a ringing endorsement from a certain Alan Shearer.

Alan Shearer praises Bryan Mbeumo amid Liverpool interest

Shearer has been tasked with picking his team of the season so far and after including four Liverpool players and Arne Slot with his selection, he’s clearly impressed by the goings on at Anfield.

However, the inclusion of Mbeumo is also an interesting one for Reds fans and according to Shearer, the Brentford star has reached new heights.

“Has taken his game to another level this season, and has proven to be unstoppable at the G-tech Stadium, scoring or assisting in all six of his home matches,” Shearer commented.

Mbeumo can emulate Salah with career arc of improvement

At just 25, Bryan Mbeumo certain has time on his side when it comes to producing his absolute best form.

Indeed, it’s worth remembering that Liverpool signed Salah as a 25-year-old and from there, he’s gone from strength to strength, arguably playing the best football of his career right now.

With Mbeumo, then, Liverpool may well see the obvious similarities when it comes his age and profile and as Shearer says here, the Brentford forward is only getting better.

The next step for Mbeumo is to make the move to a club who are genuine contenders most seasons.

From there, he can test himself against the very best in Europe.

Liverpool, then, could well be the ideal club for Mbeumo to get that platform and become the next world-class wide player at Anfield.
