Liverpool could be at risk of losing another of their stars this summer with Luis Diaz reportedly ready to join Barcelona should the Catalan giants come calling.

The Reds are reeling from Trent Alexander-Arnold's decision to leave Anfield at the end of the season with the England international agreeing to join Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer.

While Arne Slot's side are cruising towards Premier League title glory, Alexander-Arnold's imminent exit and continued uncertainty over Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah's futures threatens to spoil the party.

Van Dijk and Salah are also both out of contract at the end of the season with Liverpool desperate to keep hold of the pair.

While Liverpool has seamlessly transitioned to life after Jurgen Klopp, three major exits would leave the club with a huge job on their hands this summer.

Reports in Spain also suggest Barcelona are paying for close attention to Diaz, placing him on a list of transfer targets.

Worryingly for Liverpool, the Colombia international may be interested in making the move happen.

Mundo Deportivo report Diaz is 'waiting on Barcelona' to decide whether they can finance a move this summer, eager for the La Liga giants to inform him of their decision.

Diaz would relish the opportunity to turn out in Barcelona colours having supported them as a youngster and would regard a move to the Camp Nou as a 'dream'.

But he is also wary of getting his hopes up and wants to see Barcelona firm up their interest.

Should Barcelona open the door to the move, Diaz 'would not hesitate' to leave Merseyside.

Reports elsewhere suggest the forward will consider his future this summer if a new deal does not materialise before then.

Liverpool will be determined to avoid another situation where one of their prized assets starts the new campaign with less than 12 months on their contract, the same dilemma they have found themselves in with Alexander-Arnold, van Dijk and Salah this term.

Little has emerged on Salah's future since his bombshell comments last November where he admitted he was 'probably more out than in'.

Van Dijk meanwhile recently admitted he has 'no idea' if he'll still be Liverpool captain next year.

'There's nothing pending, I don't even know myself, I keep saying the same thing,' he said after Liverpool's Champions League exit against Paris Saint-Germain.
