Liverpool target Igor Paixão has insisted he wants to do "what is best for everyone" this summer should he leave Feyenoord.
1908.nl cover comments from the forward today as he continues to impress this season and earn admirers before the summer transfer window.
He is the undisputed star of the current Feyenoord squad after 11 goals and 15 assists in 38 games this season, including two goals and four assists in 11 games in the Champions League, and 32 goals and 25 assists in 120 games for the Dutch club to date.
Several sides in Europe are believed to be keen on him including Liverpool, thanks to Arne Slot, who managed him in the Netherlands before moving to Anfield.
Liverpool have been credited with an interest because of that, with a report earlier this month emphasising that they were in the mix for the Brazilian.
That was followed by comments from former Dutch footballer Rob Jacobs, who insisted he would not be surprised if Liverpool did move for him at some point.
Whether that happens remains to be seen but Paixão is aware of the rumours and insists he only has one wish if anything is to happen.
“I will do my best at Feyenoord until the end of the season," he said.
"If I stay, that’s fine. And if I leave, that will be the result of my game here. In any case, I want to leave something beautiful here. Moreover, I still have a contract until 2029.
"I will then focus on Feyenoord. It is up to the Feyenoord board and my agents to determine what is best for everyone.”
