Liverpool transfer news and rumours as Reds player green lights last-gasp exit

Transfer news and rumours continue to flood out of Liverpool ahead of deadline day, despite the Anfield club so far keeping their powder dry to improve Arne Slot's team.
It has been a very quiet winter window on Merseyside so far this season, with Liverpool and Slot happy with the squad he largely inherited last summer. Federico Chiesa still remains the only new senior player to arrive at Anfield since the Dutchman took over from Jurgen Klopp.
Giorgi Mamardashvili also agreed to a transfer to Liverpool last summer but will not head to Anfield until the 2025 off-season. Anfield chiefs even remain on the hunt to identify further players for the summer sales, with this winter likely to pass without a raft of reinforcements.
Instead, the exit doors at Anfield could continue to swing ahead of deadline day on Monday with Liverpool set to send a star on their travels. With that in mind, Rousing The Kop rounds up all of the latest Liverpool transfer news, rumours and gossip as deadline day draws near…
Liverpool gem Stefan Bajcetic gives his green light for a loan transfer to Las Palmas
Transfer expert Graeme Bailey has exclusively told Rousing The Kop that Liverpool are due to send Stefan Bajcetic on loan to Las Palmas. The midfielder was set to spend this season with RB Salzburg but Bajcetic sought a new loan having grown unhappy after falling out of favour.
Las Palmas have now beaten fellow La Liga squad Getafe to take over Bajcetic's loan for the remainder of this season. Liverpool and the 20-year-old believe Las Palmas are the right fit, having impressed both the Reds and Bajcetic with the success of Wolves loanee Fabio Silva.
Bajcetic had the final say on his next loan destination after RB Salzburg agreed to terminate his spell in the Austrian Bundesliga early. The three-cap Spain U21 international has penned 18 appearances for the Red Bull franchise team but has only started eight of those matches.
Saudi Pro League chiefs are 'obsessed' with signing Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez
The Saudi Pro League has become a major threat, and in some cases a major help, for many European sides during recent transfer windows. Liverpool are in the first camp, with Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah taking up residence on the Saudi Pro League's transfer shortlist.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Saudi Pro League chiefs are 'obsessed' with signing Salah with his contract expiring on June 30. But the Egypt winger is not the only Reds forward getting a lot of affection as the Saudi Pro League would also 'love' to convince Liverpool to sell Nunez.
Anfield chiefs have been clear that neither Salah nor Nunez will leave Merseyside during the winter 2025 transfer window. But Pro League chiefs retain a strong interest in them moving to Saudi Arabia should Salah decide it is time to leave Liverpool and Nunez is put up for sale.
Liverpool target Angelo Stiller adds a release clause to his contract with VfB Stuttgart
Despite Arne Slot helping Ryan Gravenberch to excel this season with a deeper midfield role, Liverpool are keeping their eyes out for potential reinforcements and have identified Angelo Stiller of VfB Stuttgart as one player who might bolster the base of their future engine room.
The Merseyside outfit have even now landed a boost for their potential future pursuit of the 23-year-old, too. Stiller has added a release clause to his contract for Stuttgart, with the club agreeing to include one to lock their three-cap Germany international down until June 2028.
It is not currently reported how much Stiller's new release clause is worth. But it can provide Liverpool an easier route to sealing his transfer from Stuttgart should the Reds advance their interest. Stiller has two goals and five assists in 30 games as Stuttgart's defensive midfielder.
Liverpool and Manchester United target Jeremie Frimpong set to leave Bayer Leverkusen
Liverpool have enjoyed great consistency at right-back in recent years with Trent Alexander-Arnold and have another potential star in the making at Anfield in Conor Bradley. Yet, with a cloud lingering over Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool are now studying the market for full-backs.
Alexander-Arnold is still yet to agree to a new contract ahead of his deal ending on June 30. So, Liverpool have joined the queue of clubs monitoring Jeremie Frimpong alongside fierce rivals Manchester United. The Premier League giants could even battle for a move this year.
Frimpong is set to leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer as Liverpool and Manchester United emerge as potential destinations for the 24-year-old. The Amsterdam, Netherlands native is set to spark a European-wide tug-of-war having proven to be a creative force from the right.
Jorrel Hato is one for Liverpool to 'keep an eye on' for the summer after Anfield visit
AFC Ajax defender Jorrel Hato helped to fuel rumours regarding Liverpool's interest in a deal for the 18-year-old after he was seen at Anfield on Saturday watching the Reds beat Ipswich Town 4-1. Yet Graeme Bailey has told Rousing The Kop that Hato was not at Anfield for talks.
Instead, while Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in signing Hato, the left-back was merely at Anfield to support a friend. The Reds did not try to use the defender's visit to Merseyside to speak with him about a transfer, even though Hato is on Liverpool's list for summer deals.
Bailey does, however, report that Hato is 'very much one to keep an eye on' for the summer transfer window should Liverpool try to bolster their backline. He can give head coach Arne Slot an experienced, versatile presence and a leader from left-back or centre-half at only 18.
