'Need to improve': Mo Salah says there's one thing Liverpool have to work on after 6-3 Tottenham win

Liverpool were once again on the winning side in one of the craziest Premier League games of the season after a 6-3 win against Tottenham.
Braces from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah set the Reds on their way to an emphatic result against Ange Postecoglou’s side, with Liverpool going four points clear at the top of the Premier League with Chelsea drawing away to Everton earlier today.

With Salah breaking yet another Premier League record, it was a historic result for Liverpool and Arne Slot, who one again proved their title-winning credentials with an outstanding performance against Tottenham.
Yet Salah has said Liverpool need to improve on one thing after today’s win in north London.
Salah says Liverpool ‘need to improve’ defensively
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Liverpool no. 11 admitted that the Reds ‘need to improve’ at the back with the Reds shipping three goals against Tottenham, the second time this has happened this month after the Anfield side’s 3-3 draw against Newcastle United.
Although Liverpool have joint-best defensive record in the Premier League alongside Arsenal, Slot will be the first to admit that the Reds should have done better at the back against Tottenham, who were arguably lucky to score three.

And Salah agrees that Liverpool need to improve at the back heading into 2025, with the Merseyside giants’ defence a key reason why the Premier League leaders have been as good as they have been this season.
Salah said when asked about Liverpool’s performance against Tottenham: “We were quite good up front but defensively we need to improve as a team. Conceding three goals is quite hard. It's a good result, hopefully we just keep going.”
Slot knows he has to spend in January if Liverpool are to compete
The January transfer window is shaping up to be an exciting one for Liverpool, with Slot believed to be interested in strengthening in four positions for the Reds after a quiet summer earlier this year.
And the main area Liverpool have to improve in during the January market is the defence, with left-back and centre-back two positions that require quality depth if the Anfield side are to challenge for silverware.
Indeed, Liverpool have done well with what they have in the current squad, yet signings are needed if Slot is to make history in his first full season in charge of the Premier League giants.
