No one expected Liverpool to race off the blocks in this manner under Arne Slot after the Dutchman replaced Jurgen Klopp at the helm at the start of the season.
The Reds lead the way in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions and are also alive in the domestic cups, raising the possibility of winning silverware at the end of the season.

Slot has lost just two games across all competitions and has made Liverpool notoriously hard to beat while also adopting an attractive brand of attacking football.
And now, the Dutchman has come under huge praise from Hansi Flick, who took over the reigns at Barcelona last year.

While Liverpool lead the way in the Champions League, Barcelona occupy second place, having won five of their six games in the competition.
The two sides have 11 European Cups between them and have been the standout team in the competition so far as they edge closer to the knockout stages.
The Reds have a perfect record in Europe so far and will look to make it seven wins out of seven when they face Lille later today.
Barcelona are also in action in the Champions League as they prepare to take on Benfica and ahead of the game, Flick spoke glowingly about how Liverpool have been one of his favourite teams to watch this season.
“When I look at Liverpool I see a team with incredible power,” said the German in his pre-match press conference.
“They are one of my favourite teams in the world right now. We are doing well but there are very good teams that are also doing well and we are contending on three fronts (Champions League, La Liga and Copa del Rey).
What next for Liverpool?
The Reds already have one foot in the knockout stages and can afford to rest a few players for the game against the Ligue 1 side at Anfield later today.
However, there have been suggestions that Slot could name a strong lineup against Lille, with most of his big hitters like Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah expected to start as usual.
Liverpool’s next Premier League game is also at Anfield as they prepare to host Ipswich Town on Saturday as they aim to make it successive wins in the competition for the first time since the festive period.
