Liverpool fans have had to get used to a big change from one icon of the club over recent months.

So used to seeing the legendary Mohamed Salah sport his trademark curly afro, supporters were shocked during the summer when Salah shaved it all off.

Having seen Mo back to his usual, free-scoring self on the pitch, fans will probably now have become used to seeing Liverpool’s Egyptian King with a short back and sides.

It remains to be seen whether Salah’s long-term plan is to re-grow his former look, and that’s a question we’ll all continue waiting on with baited breath as the season develops at Anfield.

In the meantime, another former icon of the Kop has been busy building a new look for himself, too.

Images have emerged that, now playing in Miami alongside Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez has decided to make his own drastic change.

Luis Suarez goes blonde

When it comes to Liverpool greats, Suarez is of course nothing like being in the bracket of Salah.

The Egyptian will go down as one of the best players in Liverpool’s history when he eventually leaves the club.

Jamie Carragher named Salah in his all-time Liverpool XI recently and there’s now little question that the 32-year-old belongs in that kind of company.

But Carragher did note that if Suarez had been at Liverpool a little longer – and won a big trophy with the Reds – then the Uruguayan may also have made it into his fantasy team.

Suarez was unbelievable for Liverpool but was unfortunate to play at a time when the team was not consistently challenging for trophies.

Nevertheless, he did his absolute best to fire the Reds to a Premier League title in 2013/14 and so very nearly managed it.

Anyway, in the long-term, it will be away from Liverpool where Suarez is mainly remembered. His partnership with Messi and Neymar at Barcelona is one of the greatest in football history.

During those days, it was not rare to see Messi or Neymar sporting a bleached blonde look. But Suarez always wore his hair the same: cropped and jet black.

Now, as per a post on Instagram by Inter Miami, the 37-year-old has decided to change all of that. Pictured in training on Thursday, Suarez is seen with a shock of white yellow hair. Wow.

How is Luis Suarez getting on at Inter Miami?

Despite all of his achievements across his career, it’s perhaps fair to say that Suarez is still slightly underrated.

The 37-year-old was the only player to outscore Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi during their peaks years in La Liga and is quite genuinely one the greats.

Even now, deep into his thirties, Suarez continues to score goal after goal, albeit at a lesser level.

Having hit 26 in 53 games for Gremio, Suarez joined Inter Miami last December. Reunited with Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, the former Liverpool No.7 has 21 goals in 30 games so far.

Suarez retired from Uruguay duty earlier this month and it probably won’t be long before he’s gone for good. Between now and then, though, Suarez seems determined to have a bit of fun.
