Report: 'Dangerous' Liverpool player now being considered by European club to replace their £100m superstar
Today at 12:00 PM
Napol struck gold with the signing of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia back in 2023, with the Georgia international since becoming one of the biggest superstars in Europe.
The attacker played a pivotal role in Napoli ending their three-decade wait for a Serie A title as Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen established themselves as two of the most dangerous forwards in world football under Luciano Spalletti.
As a result, Liverpool have been linked with a move for Kvaratskhelia since the Georgia star’s move to Italy, though current rumours seem to suggest that the 23-year-old winger is heading to PSG this January after the Napoli forward handed in a transfer request.
Yet Antonio Conte could now turn to Liverpool for a potential replacement in Kvaratskhelia this month.
Federico Chiesa one of three players Napoli are considering to replace Kvaratskhelia
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa is one the three-player shortlist Napoli are considering for Kvaratskhelia’s replacement, with former Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech and Kosovo international Edon Zhegrova also featuring.
The Italian international scored his first goal for the Reds this weekend with Diogo Jota lauding Chiesa as a ‘dangerous’ attacker for Liverpool, with the winger finally back to full physical fitness after a rough first six months at Anfield due to injuries and lack of pre-season.

Yet despite the excitement surrounding the 27-year-old attacker at Liverpool, that hasn’t stopped rumours from suggesting that Chiesa could return to Italy this January, with Napoli and Bologna both linked with the former Juventus man.
Indeed, Chiesa leaving Liverpool would be a decision that will go down badly with every Anfield supporter, and the Reds need to ensure that any approach from Napoli is shot down this month, even if a tempting offer is made from money recouped from selling Kvaratskhelia.
Liverpool know it would be crazy to let Chiesa this month
Chiesa only joined Liverpool last summer in a bargain £12m deal from Juventus, with the winger signed as a project player where the Italian international would be given at least the season to regain fitness and to find the form needed to become a superstar once again.
And Liverpool know it would be nothing short of crazy to let Chiesa leave this month, especially with the winger now scoring his first goals for the club this weekend in a 4-0 FA Cup win against Accrington Stanley.
The Reds took a gamble on signing Chiesa last year, and allowing the winger to leave already would be nothing short of poor from Liverpool’s part on giving up the 27-year-old so soon after his highly-anticipated arrival.
