2025 could see Liverpool lose a number of players who have been key to their success in recent times.

The Reds have seen plenty of big stars leave over the past three or four years as the Premier League and Champions League winning squads of 2019 and 2020 have disintegrated.

This could unfortunately be taken to another level in 2025, though, with Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah all out of contract with Liverpool.

While losing any of those three players will be a big blow to the Liverpool squad, they are not the only ones who could potentially depart.

There have been suggestions that Alisson Becker’s Liverpool career is coming to a close, with the Reds signing of Giorgi Mamardashvili throwing the Brazilian’s future into doubt.

And as fans wait and see how the stars will align, one member of the Liverpool coaching staff has reportedly been told to sort things out.

Galatasaray hatch Alisson Becker plan

If Liverpool do lose Alisson, then Mamardashvili’s signing will mean that they are already well prepared.

Nevertheless, the 32-year-old leaving along with any of Van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold or Salah would be a real sad moment.

Up until now, Saudi Arabia has seemed the most likely destination for Alisson. However, according to Turkish outlet Sabah Spor, it is not the only one.

They claim that Galatasaray have identified the Liverpool goalkeeper as a possible replacement for outgoing number one Fernando Muslera.

Alisson’s situation at Anfield is reportedly being monitored, with contact already said to have been made between the parties.

Galatasaray could also seemingly have an ace up their sleeve, as they are claimed to have ‘given instructions’ to current Liverpool coach Claudio Taffarel to convince Alisson to join them.

Taffarel played for Gala for three years at the end of his career and the Turkish giants are reportedly ‘relying on the legendary Taffarel factor’ to secure an unlikely deal for Alisson.

Liverpool open to Alisson sale

Although fans will not be to happy with these kinds of reports, Rousing The Kop understands that Liverpool are open to all avenues regarding Alisson next summer.

While the Reds are not actively trying to sell the Brazil international, it’s understood that they would at least consider suitable offers to sell him.

RTK understands that plans for Mamardashvili will factor heavily into the eventual decision over Alisson, with no definitive call set to be made until the Georgian links up next summer.

Should the current number one leave Liverpool, though, Galatasaray would seem like a strange next move. Alisson is still a ‘phenomenal’ goalie and could surely do a little better.

Alisson loves working with Taffarel, however, and given the esteem he holds the World Cup winner in, perhaps the coach can turn his head.
