Report: Liverpool now eyeing £34m record-breaking attacker as potential Mo Salah replacement

2025 is set to be a transformative year for Liverpool with Mohamed Salah likely to leave the club in the summer.
The Egyptian international’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season with Saudi Arabian clubs interested in signing Salah, with the winger likely to move to the Middle East after nearly 12 months of transfer interest from the Arabic state.
With Trent Alexander-Arnold wanted by Real Madrid and Virgil van Dijk also a target for Saudi Arabia, Liverpool could see arguably their three best players leave for nothing if Salah heads out of the Anfield door next year.
Yet Liverpool seem to have a potential replacement in mind for Salah.
Liverpool eyeing Juventus wonderkid Kenan Yildiz to replace Salah
According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool are interested in signing Juventus youngster Kenan Yildiz, with Arsenal also eyeing the Turkish wonderkid with the Serie A attacker regarded as one of the most exciting talents in all of Europe.
Liverpool have been linked with Yildiz before with the 19-year-old forward constantly rumoured with a move to the Premier League, with the Juventus star a player who could leave Turin if a big enough offer was to come in.

With Yildiz last season breaking the record at Juventus for the fastest goalscoring start from a non-Italian player, the teenage attacker could be a good signing for Liverpool if the Reds can beat the likes of Arsenal to the youngster’s signing.
And with a potential opening on the horizon for Liverpool if Salah were to leave, Yildiz could be the ideal signing for the Anfield side if an agreement can be reached with Juventus for the Turkish international.
Replacing Salah will be an impossible task for Liverpool this summer
Liverpool might have done the impossible this summer by finding the dream replacement for Jurgen Klopp in Arne Slot, yet finding a successor for Salah could be another mission entirely.

And based off Yildiz’s stats for this season compared to Salah’s, the Turkish teenager is some way off from succeeding the Liverpool no. 11, who could be considered the best wide-attacker in Europe this season.
Whilst Yildiz could one day become as good as Salah, now is too early to predict how far the Juventus winger will go in his career, and Liverpool might want to consider a safer option than the 19-year-old.
