Report: Liverpool player with just two starts under Arne Slot waiting to be given green light over January move

The January transfer window is open as Liverpool fans wait to see what plans their club may have.
It does not tend to be a busy time for the Reds, who look set to hold what they have amid a Premier League title push.
The biggest news is likely to come in regards to potential outgoings at Anfield.
Reports from Wednesday suggest that Real Madrid are preparing an official bid for Trent Alexander-Arnold and hearts will be in mouths at Liverpool as they wait for the outcome of that.
However, Alexander-Arnold is not the only Liverpool academy graduate who could leave his boyhood club this month.
Having made only three appearances this season, it could also be a big few weeks for Tyler Morton.
Tyler Morton waiting for transfer green light
It has been a difficult season for Morton on his return to Anfield.
Although he had a good two years with Blackburn Rovers and then Hull City, the 22-year-old was never likely to be at the forefront of Arne Slot’s plans this term.
That is exactly the way things have shaken out, with Morton making just two starts all season, both in the Carabao Cup.
And with Morton struggling against Southampton last time out in that competition, it looks like the England U21 international could do with a move in January.

The Athletic agree, naming Morton as the member of the Liverpool squad who most needs a transfer in the New Year.
But according to the report, Liverpool’s No.80 is still ‘waiting to find out’ whether Liverpool will allow him to leave over the next month.
Should Liverpool let Tyler Morton leave?
It has been a shame to see how little Morton has played since coming back to Liverpool.
The silky midfielder is a talented player and could be exactly the kind of profile Slot wants from his No.6.

But the Liverpool head coach’s use of Morton suggests that he simply does not see him as part of his long-term plans.
Morton was valued at around £20m during the summer and having shone in the Championship for two years, that felt like a fair price.
But having played so little in the months since, Liverpool would be lucky to recoup half of that. Another loan could help to boost his value ahead of the end of the season, though, and that now seems like the best course of action.
