Mohamed Salah has earned a reputation for being one of the hardest-working players on the training ground for Liverpool.
The Egyptian international has perfected his fitness game off the pitch to such an extent that even at 32-years-old, Salah could potentially keep playing at the highest level for as many as five more seasons, such is the winger’s incredible work ethic to his health.
With Gary McAllister in awe by Salah’s performances in Liverpool training this pre-season, the former AS Roma star has maintained his incredible levels this year under new manager Arne Slot, who has managed to take the winger up another level.
And Salah is now inspiring Liverpool players to do something in training.
Liverpool senior players and academy stars now starting to copy Salah’s diet
According to Goal, Liverpool’s first-team players as well as some of the youngsters from the academy are now starting to ask canteen staff what Salah is eating in order to fuel themselves like the Egyptian international.
As per the report, one Liverpool source said on Salah’s training mentality: “He’s absolutely obsessed with training and fitness. Everything he does is linked to his performance, to eke out an extra year in his career, an extra 10 goals in a season, an extra contract.”

With Ray Houghton saying Salah reminds him of Cristiano Ronaldo when it comes to how much attention to detail the Liverpool winger puts into keeping his body as fit and healthy as possible, it’s no surprise that players are starting to copy what the 32-year-old is eating.
And with Salah in incredible form this season, more players following the attacker’s fitness programme could lead to better results on the pitch, especially with Slot using a small squad this year at Liverpool.
Salah should be a role model every Liverpool player looks up to
Salah has been the ultimate professional since joining Liverpool in 2017, with the Egyptian international taking the Reds to new heights and doing so in a manner that has commanded respect and admiration from his peers.
And Salah is a figure who should become a role model for every Liverpool player currently at the club, with the 32-year-old doing everything to maximise his game and his impact on and off the pitch for the Reds.
Indeed, Salah could keep playing at the highest level well into his 40s if he keeps maintaining his body as he currently does, and Liverpool fans will hope the winger can extend his journey at Anfield beyond this season.
