Mohamed Salah is currently firing Liverpool to Premier League glory.

The Egyptian superstar netted his 23rd goal in all competitions on Saturday scoring the second in Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Ipswich Town.

The win keeps the Reds’ six-point lead over Arsenal at the top of the Premier League after the Gunners were also victorious against Wolves.

Ahead of the clash against the Tractor Boys, Salah stated he dreams of winning Liverpool another Premier League title, and that he would like to achieve this alongside the remaining members of the 2019/20 squad.

The Egypt captain also stated that people would realise how hard it was to achieve what he has on Merseyside once he has left, with Salah saying his Liverpool numbers are ‘not easy’ to achieve.

Having watched the 32-year-old up close on Saturday, Ipswich Town defender Jacob Greaves realised how good the winger is, while admitting what the Tractor Boy’s plan was to stop the Reds forward.

Jacob Greaves reveals Ipswich Town’s Mohamed Salah plan

Ipswich were always going to be on the backfoot once Dominik Szoboszlai gave Liverpool the lead with 11 minutes on the clock as Salah would double the Reds lead 24 minutes later.

The Egyptian superstar was left unmarked at the back post before finishing the move from a tight angle with Greaves watching the ball float over his head.

The Ipswich defender admitted after the match that Kieran McKenna’s plan for the 32-year-old was to limit him as much as possible, which the Tractor Boys sort of achieved.

“They have got some unbelievable players. Salah has obviously been incredible, so it was about trying to limit him as much as possible. I felt like we did that,” Greaves told the East Anglian Daily Times.

“For his goal, we can defend it a little bit better. They are going to have chances, so it's just about whether we can limit them to slender ones.

“Unfortunately we didn't do that today, but I'm really proud of the group for how we stuck at it in the second half.”

Salah will look to extend his lead at the top of the Premier League’s goalscoring chart further next weekend as the Reds face a tough trip down south to Bournemouth.

The 32-year-old will also be looking to add another golden boot to his list of achievements as it could be his last in the Premier League.

Latest on Mohamed Salah’s contract situation

It is well known that Salah is out of contract with Liverpool at the end of the season with the topic quietening down lately.

Saudi Arabia are showing interest in Salah as they hope to bring the superstar to Al Hilal during the summer in what would be one of the Pro League’s biggest transfers.

Negotiations are clearly ongoing behind the scenes at Anfield as nobody wants to lose the winger. Liverpool hope Salah signs a new deal before the season ends and an update on the 32-year-old’s future will likely come very soon.

Whatever happens, the Egyptian superstar will not slow down this season as if it is to be his last campaign on Merseyside, the winger will want to end it in the best way possible.
