Liverpool continue to fly high under Arne Slot, but Mohamed Salah has certainly spoiled the party somewhat.
Salah has spoken out about his Liverpool contract, in a rare and surprising moment from the Egyptian star.
He is unsure about what his future holds at Anfield, with the Liverpool winger's contract set to expire at the end of the season.
The comments from Salah about his contract are certainly untimely, with Arne Slot focusing on Real Madrid.
Spanish giants Real Madrid travel to Anfield on Wednesday, with the two European giants going head-to-head in Champions League action.
Chris Sutton says something 'odd' is happening at Liverpool
The visitors have a major blow themselves, with Salah's fellow winger Vinicius Junior picking up a leg injury before the match.
But Chris Sutton is worried about the action their star man has taken at this stage of the campaign, with the pundit saying on the Monday Night Club: "He has probably been the best player in the Premier League this season and if anything happened to him – I don’t think Liverpool would go on and win the league and they still have a lot of work with him.
"His importance to the team is so great. It just seems odd to me that Liverpool have had this wonderful start but they’ve got this overhanging issue. The last thing they need is turbulence.
"Mo Salah isn’t a big speaker to the media. He isn’t a regular speaker, so for him to come out and to get things off his chest is an unusual move.
"Liverpool have to act in some way and they have got to comment. The silence and the uncertainty doesn’t help Liverpool as far as I can see."
What Mohamed Salah did 'cannot be good news' for Liverpool
Salah has once again been the Liverpool hero this season, with the winger taking his goals tally to 12 for the season against Southampton.
He has also chipped in with 10 assists under Slot, outshining fellow attackers Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez in recent times.

Even at 32, the Egypt international remains Slot's most dangerous asset in the final third, particularly amid the absences of the injured Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa.
But Sutton is worried about the impact Salah's words could have on the Anfield faithful, with the pundit adding: "For him to come out and instigate the chat, clearly something is amiss and that cannot be good news for Liverpool and Liverpool supporters at this moment in time when the season has gone so swimmingly well. There is now this undercurrent and he is putting the club under pressure."
